Our cousin Bijjy

It is hard to come to grips with the fact that our cousin Bijjy is no longer with us … We remember fondly the time we spent together in India : - the trips we made to Santa Cruz to spend time with with Chinni and Bijjy. - summer vacations spent together in Kavur. - dropping Bijjy and Chinni off at the train station for their trips back to Rishi Valley. - riding in the “Red Volkswagen bug” in Bombay with all four of us kids and either Uncle or Aunty driving. We are so grateful for the afternoon we were all able to spend with Bijjy and his family, Chinni and her family and Uncle and Aunty in Pittsburg on July 22, 2006. Patrick had a great time with Jahnu. Brian enjoyed meeting Bijjy and his family for the first time. It was our first time meeting Latha , Jahnu and Sanju. The food was great : Chinni prepared a great meal, Aunty made Gongura chutney, Chandrashekar provided constant servings of gourmet coffee, Latha and Bijjy made the deserts : grilled pineapple slices with rum butter was a hit … The conversation was great : the kids, jobs, politics … We spent all of 5 or 6 hours together that afternoon, but we covered so much ground and had such a good time. Driving back home that evening, we all remember thinking we ought to do this more often …..poignant memories of that one special family reunion, not so long ago, are still etched in our minds. Our cousin Bijjy : wonderful son and brother, devoted husband, proud and protective dad, successful businessman, all around nice person. We love you and miss you deeply !!!
